4 tips for eating chocolate without sugar or flour

Chocolate is a mixture of cocoa and sugar, highly addictive and very calorific, depending on the level of sugar and even if it’s milk chocolate.

However, if it’s up to 70% cocoa, it can still be healthy and nutritious, and help satiate women suffering from PMS (premenstrual tension) who crave that chocolate but want to stay focused.

When you’re craving a guilt-free treat or to please that friend who’s on a diet, try making this cake. It’s super tasty and doesn’t contain any sugar or flour, but you’ll still feel like you’re eating a high-calorie cake.

1. Flourless and sugar-free chocolate cake

Ingredients:

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a baking pan with coconut oil.
  2. Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie and set aside.
  3. Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. Beat the egg whites until stiff and set aside.
  4. In another bowl, mix the egg yolks, coconut oil, vanilla, salt and melted chocolate.
  5. Add the yeast and mix well.
  6. Gently incorporate the egg whites into the chocolate mixture, moving from bottom to top so as not to lose volume.
  7. Pour the batter into the mold and bake for about 30 minutes, or until set.
  8. Leave to cool before unmolding and serving. You can also add dark chocolate shavings on top.

2. Flourless Chocolate Avocado Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados, mashed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/4 cup sugar-free sweetener (like erythritol or stevia)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup sugar-free chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the avocados until smooth.
  3. Add eggs, almond butter, cocoa powder, sweetener, vanilla, and baking soda. Mix well until smooth and combined.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips, if using.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Let cool before cutting into squares. Enjoy!

3. Keto Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup heavy cream or coconut cream (for dairy-free)
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar-free sweetener (like erythritol or monk fruit)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, cocoa powder, sweetener, vanilla extract, and salt.
  2. Beat with an electric mixer on high until stiff peaks form.
  3. Spoon the mousse into serving cups and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  4. Garnish with grated sugar-free chocolate or fresh berries if desired.

4. Flourless Chocolate Mug Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter or peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar-free sweetener
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar-free chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a microwave-safe mug, whisk the egg until fully beaten.
  2. Add cocoa powder, almond butter, sweetener, and baking powder. Mix well until a smooth batter forms.
  3. Stir in the chocolate chips if using.
  4. Microwave on high for 1 minute, checking for doneness. If needed, microwave in additional 10-second intervals until set.
  5. Let cool for a minute before enjoying straight from the mug!
